Sigiriya is an ancient rock fortress in the northern Sri Lanka. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site because of its archaeological and historical significance. A massive column of rock nearly 200 meters high is the main attraction.
Sigiriya is still worth a visit as there are plenty of opportunities for trekking and exploring. Nearby there are national parks, ancient cities and jungle-clad scenery.

The hatcheries along Sri Lanka’s western coast regularly witnesses a good count of sea turtles.
Gradually, five different varieties of Sea Turtles are found here at the Sea Turtle Hatchery in Sri Lanka – Olive Ridley, Green Turtle, Hawksbill Turtle, Loggerhead Turtle, and Leatherhead Turtle.
Nuwara Eliya often referred to as Little England, this highland community does have a rose-tinted, vaguely British-Country-Village feel to it. It was once the cool escape for the English and Scottish pioneers of Sri Lanka’s tea industry.
Nuwara Eliya is home to numerous breath-taking waterfalls like the Lovers Leap Waterfall, St. Clair’s Falls, Bomburu Ella Waterfall, and Laxapana Falls. A waterfall hike is one of the most remarkable things to do in Nuwara Eliya.

Sri Dalada Maligawa or Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is a Buddhist temple in the city of Kandy, Sri Lanka. It is located in the royal palace complex of former Kingdom & houses the relic of the tooth of the Buddha
Kandy has an abundance of culture around it. Temple of the Tooth being the most popular attraction. It is situated in a valley, 600 m above sea level. Kandy lake is an artificial creation by one of the past rulers.
Gale Fort is a historical archaeological and architectural heritage monument, which even after more than 423 years maintains a polished appearance. It was built first in 1588 by the Portuguese, then extensively fortified by the Dutch during the 17th century.
Kande Vihara is a major Buddhist temple in Kalutata District, Sri Lanka. The temple has got its name ” Kande vihara”(Mountain temple) as it is built on top a hill located near to Aluthagama town.
